Another Movie from Rob Zombie: Halloween the Movie

A new movie written and directed by Rob Zombie will be released on Aug. 31st. I included a clip of the trailer for, Halloween the movie. I am sure it will be a kick-ass movie. Check out the trailer here posted on YouTube.com. I like horror type movies of this nature and I think the trailer looks really promising, BUT you just never know.

Rob Zombie will for sure pack the movie with tons of horror and probably some hot babes that may or may not get naked. I am just speaking from seeing his movies in the past. Sometimes remakes are good and sometimes they are not, but it really all comes down to how much more the director packs into the movie that wasn't originally there. These days it is tough to create a remake that people will flock to, at least if they know about the original. But with trilogies like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter, these things are still possible.

My favorite scary movies include The Blair Witch Project, Saw series and the original Friday the 13th. I know that Rob Zombie loves to step up to the table, so I think putting his own twist in Halloween the movie will be entertaining for sure. Be sure to check out the trailer at least, then you can decide if you'll hit up your local movie theater to see the real deal.

Movie Quote Contest: Week 1 Answer

This was an easy one folks. The comments are correct, this was one of my favorites from Happy Gilmore!

Here is a link to a couple great shots from the movie. Stay tuned for the movie quote on Friday. It will hopefully be a little harder :) I will see about getting a prize to the first correct answer in July. I am still working on it with my partner site. Hang in there!

Deja Vu

The movie that is. Have you seen it? I love movies like this for a couple of reasons. The main reason being that my brain gets a workout during the whole movie. Things are happening so fast that you must keep both eyes open and your mouth shut, just to stay up to speed.

I guess to sum it up in short version, I would explain it as a mix between the movies "Time Line" and "Enemy of the State". That's all that I am going to say though, because talking about it any more would be a risk of giving away key parts of the movie.

Rent it and check it out, even if it isn't raining outside!

Bug: Movie Trailer

bug movie trailer. This movie looks quite interesting, almost a breath of fresh air when it comes to this type of movie. In that, I mean the idea or story seems original. Bug movie, reminds of movies like "28 Days Later" in a way. I think it will be a hit for those who are into this type of thriller suspense movie.

I like suspense thrillers and horror movies. The trailer was enough to grab my attention and after I saw the movie poster, I was even more curious. It sort of looks like a bug and is quite intriguing. Once I saw the trailer I was impressed by how the poster pulls me into what the trailer shows.

Bugs that will get into your blood stream and feed on your brain. Hopefully this isn't a dud, because it could cause quite a stir throughout the country. Maybe even as big a stir as Jaws did or The Blair Witch Project.
I have seen a lot of movies like this that are well done. The two mentioned above were done perfectly and the actors fit the part. The trailer looks creepy, sort of made my skin crawl a bit. I will not be able to wait to see this one in the theaters with surround sound. I usually like to post reviews here as well, I will just add this one to my list now. Take a look at the trailer and let me know what you think.

Saw III at Movies.Yahoo.com

Have you seen Saw III yet? Well I have had this movie from netflix sitting on my coffee table for almost 2.5 months now. What's taking so long? I am not sure. Everytime we sit down to watch it, we find another reason to watch it later. The most recent was that we wanted to watch it on the big screen. Which is of course, the home theater type setup I have in our basement. It's pretty basic with nothing fancy at all. I bought a Dell 2400MP Multimedia Projector from the Dell website. About $1250 delivered to my door. My screen is a piece of laminated plywood that I painted FLAT white with a simple black border around the whole thing. I have a basic Kenwood surround system to go with it. When the lights are out, the projector on and the stereo cranked, it really makes for a different movie type experience. So, next time I try to watch the movie it will be on the big screen, hopefully sooner than later!

Have you seen this movie?

School for Scoundrels is great! Jon Heder (left) is such a nice guy and plays the part of a Star Wars Geek lost in his own world, perfectly. Billy Bob Thorton is also in rare form as a teacher for guys that are weak and quite, normally. Within the first 10 minutes of this movie you are loving Billy Bob's character.

With a class of about 20 students, this top secret, get ahead course has come twists and turns and not to mention a very familiar bunch of comedians in the class.

Sit back and enjoy the rips, tears, punches and paintballs to the private areas. You'll laugh for sure, even if it's only at the end :)

Science of Sleep

Have you been able to check this movie out? The title is "The Science of Sleep" and I am not sure what is really going on, but there are some serious undertones in the movie. I think the reviews and comments made here are very close to the way I felt when the movie was over. It's a fun movie to watch, but I think I will have to see it again to be able to catch every little thing that is happening or what they mean. The main character is artistic and stuck in a job he doesn't want. When he sleeps, his dreams come alive and are a large part of the movie. If you want to watch a movie that keeps your mind thinking and has come very funny parts, then I recommend this one for sure!
